LOCATION GUIDE
TISH OCONNOR PHOTOGRAPHY
I'm so excited to help you plan your session! Your locations set the mood and provide the perfect backdrop for your photos, and I'm here to help you pick spots that feel just right.
Choose locations that are meaningful to you - places that reflect your personality, hobbies, or personal story. Love nature? We'll find outdoor settings. More of a city vibe? Urban spots are perfect. You can also combine them, one location urban, one rural, for a variety of looks. Think outside the box, too. A favorite local hangout like Starbucks or Dairy Queen can make for fun, personal photos.
Take a look through the location list and explore any spots that catch your eye. Think about your outfits and colors — do they match the location or clash?
Need inspiration? Check out my Instagram (@tishoconnorphotography) or my Senior Portfolio at tishoconnorphotography.com. You can even send me screenshots of photos you like, and I’ll tell you where they were taken.
If you need photos to visualize any of the locations on the list, I’m happy to share photos. I’m always open to new ideas including private property or unique spots you have in mind. I can’t wait to plan your session!
5 TIPS FOR PICKING THE RIGHT LOCATIONS
01
WHAT IS MEANINGFUL TO YOU
Your photos should reflect who you are in this season of life. Think about your hobbies and interests — music, sports, reading, and more. Locations like the Arts Center, local library, tennis courts, or even your high school can create a meaningful, personalized backdrop for your senior session.
02
WHAT WILL YOU BE WEARING
Your outfit can help guide your location.
Love flannels and an outdoorsy feel? The woods or a field are a great fit. Dreaming of a flowy dress and floppy hat? A lake or golden field gives you that soft, natural look. Rocking bold heels and a trendy outfit? Downtown adds a modern edge.
03
CONSIDER THE SEASON
Wildflowers, fall leaves, or summer sunsets can completely change the feel of your session. Spring offers soft blooms and fresh greens, summer brings lush landscapes and glowing golden light, and fall adds rich tones and cozy textures — choosing the right season helps create a cohesive look.
04
EXPLORE
You are making an investment in senior portraits. Please take the time to explore the different locations on my guide before your shoot to find the right spots for you. If you are having trouble visualizing what you want, take some time to look through my Senior Portfolio on my website or my Instagram feed, @tishoconnorphotography.
05
THINK BEYOND THE LIST
Have a meaningful spot or private property in mind? I’m always open to new locations — especially places that tell your story. Family land, a friend’s farm, your grandparents’ house, or a favorite hangout can make your session even more unique and personal.
